RE: Request for immediate inspection of 78 Main Street (Lizotte's)
Dear Mr. Madowitz,
I read the Gazette today about Lizotte's closing abruptly. I walked by store at approx.
2:30PM today and I am very concerned about a potential electrical/fire hazard. The
display counters looked as if they were just ripped from floor and walls. There are
electrical wires not capped just lying on the floor as well as damaged electrical
receptacles with exposed wiring. I checked our files and we have no record from a
licensed electrical contractor doing this work. As such I am concerned that a potential for
a fire exists being caused by faulty electrical conditions. I request an immediate
inspection by the inspector of wires or a report from a duly licensed electrical contractor
attesting to the fact the all electrical wiring has been terminated properly. I want the
inspection or report within 24hrs of receipt of this letter.
Sincerely,

Re: Lizotte's
Dear Mr. Patillo:
As requested in your letter received by facsimile this afternoon by The Hampshire
Property Management Group, I would like to update youLizotte's
at 76 Main Street. Florence Lock&Key has drilled the to ktand Winston Bancroft has
checked the electrical service which was not energized. It appears as if Massachusetts
Electric has turned the meter off I have called Massachusetts Electric and the electric
service will be reactivated tomorrow. Winston will energize the electrical system and
complete a through inspection to make certain there are no electrical life safety issues. I
have reported this information to George Fournier who seemed satisfied with the level
of response to this problematic situation.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to call Rich
Madowitz or myself at(413) 582-9970.
Respectfully yours, tE t1
