MEMO TO: Acting Police Chief Gene LaFrance, D.P.W. Director Peter McNulty
SUBJECT: Dangerous situation
It would be very much appreciated if you would put your hea,ji, together and
correct a very dangerous situation at the corner of Elrr. Street any Woodlawn Avenue.
As you pull out of Woodlawn Avenue, there is a giant overgrown bush on this corner
which obstructs the motorist 's vision. Motorists must pull out onto the crosswalk
and into the Route 9 roadway in order to see if the way is clear or obstructed.
I believe that this bush may be or City property because it is right at the
edge of the sidewalk; however, we should treat it as if it belonged to the homeowner,
therefore, I would like to do the followin;;:
Please check out this situation together and approach the homeowner with
the proposal to have the D.P.W. trim the hush back to an acceptable level .
