There was some possibility of extending the addition farther than we drew into the rear setback. Sorry I don't exactly remember either, but it was something about 5' into the setback was allowable as long as it's not more non-conforming than the existing (if I remember correctly) and you were going to consult with Carolyn about the specifics of that. We also discussed the front setback but given the existing parking situation we basically agreed that we wouldn't want to increase the footprint there at all. I got a pretty clear sense from our meeting about the interior features and making sure we didn't do anything that's apartment-like, but probably good to confirm that as well: --Remove cabinetry, countertop & refrigerator. OK to have a clean-up sink. --Remove laundry. --If this will be a bedroom, upgrade smoke/COs in the unit & confirm egress window. If this will be a studio/workspace, don't need these upgrades, but remove shower and keep half bath. I believe it’s wider than 15’, but I will double check. I also have pictures of the site back at my office which I can send over to give a better visual of the existing. Existing is a two-family, over/under. The garage addition would be an extension of the first unit which is where the owner resides. Sorry, it's a holdover that we should've deleted on this version. Related, the existing parking area is adjacent (labeled 400sf) and that would remain but be slightly extended to meet the new garage doors as drawn. Attached are the drawings we reviewed on Monday. We have not yet updated these to reflect our conversation (1. remove cabs/countertop, leaving clean-up sink; 2. remove W/D; 3. label as bedroom, upgrade smoke/COs and keep shower -or- label as work area and remove shower) Best, --Anna On Fri, Mar 29, 2019 at 9:27 AM Louis Hasbrouck <lhasbrouck@northamptonma.gov> wrote: Anna, A couple questions.
