Progress as reported by Contractor: Kitchen cabinets and counters installed in bldgs#1,8, 10, 12. Bldgs#1,8, I0 also have
swanstone and trim completed, thresholds, stair nosings, railing blocks, vinyl siding at windows, electric finishes, and plumbing
fixtures. Roof jacks are in place all Phase 1. Electric service installed and switched over at bldgs#I,8. Finish painting complete at
#1,8. GWB taping complete all Phase!except misc.patches at electrical penetrations.
7.1 3/25/2003 - COP #2 - New ductwork at asbestos abatement:: Reviewed ductwork prices. Owner agreed that
material costs are correct as submitted. Labor costs are to be measured in field at typical 2BR and 3BR units, as the
difference between the labor for relocating ductwork and labor for installing new ductwork. Dave will review typical
installation times. Owner agreed that costs as submitted dated 17 March for asbestos abatement portion of work are
acceptable.

4/15/2003 -Dave reports that time has been recorded for bldgs 15, 17, 18. After time is recorded for typical b'dg, Phase II,
then change order can be closed out. Dave reports that 2 workmen on site have completed 2 apts in I day, of including
basement tie in.

1.6 1/21/2003 - Schedule: BCI intends to set up field office next week and start submittals. Russ will submit progress
schedule next week for review.

4/22/2003 -Roy reports that May 15th is still anticipated turnover date for bldgs 8 and I.
5/6/2003 - Roy anticipates kitchen and swanstone work in bldgs#10, 12. Siding and coil stock at windows at bldgs#1. 10,
12. Roof jacks at bldgs#8, 10, 12, 15. Electrical finish at bldgs#12, 15. Baseboard material arrival scheduled this week,with
work starting on bldgs#I,8. Plumbing finish at bldgs#8, 10, 12. GWB taping completed at#17 and 18. Duct cleaning bldgs
#1,8. Tentative turnover date for bldgs#1 and 8 will now be week of May 26th,to be confirmed. See item I I below for
punch list discussion.
5/13/2003 - Roy anticipates turning over future Phase I buildings at rate of one per week. Bldgs #1 and 8 scheduled for
move in by NHA at end of May. Item Ongoing.
1.8 1/21/2003 -Submittals: BCI submitted SD#1 through #9 at job meeting; 1 initial copy given to NHA. Re iewed shop
drawing submittal procedure. For 10 copies of product data submitted,2 copies architect, I copy consultant, I i itial copy to
NHA, I reviewed copy returned to NHA, 1 to DHCD,results in 4 copies returned to BCI. For drawings,only 3 copies need
to be submitted: 2 to architect and I initial copy to NHA. D&Co will return one copy to BCI who will then ma a copies for

distribution. Unless submittal schedule is prepared, BCI will indicate priority shop drawings at each job meeting; D&Co will
return priority items by next meeting.

4/22/2003 - Fire caulking returned. Roy submitted color choices for corner guard and door and hardware record
submittals.
5/6/2003 -John distributed record copies of hardware submittal. Actual door warranty will need to be submitted as part of
project closeout. Russ submitted acrylic caulk for painter's use.
5/13/2003 - Discussed submittals for sealants for swanstone and kitchen counters. Miter joint in counter not to be caulked
with material submitted (not approved for food contact). Sidesplash will be set in bead of silicone. Roy reports that
swanstone caulking material approved by swanstone for their product. Item Closed.
1.17 1/21/2003—Apartment Numbers: Discussed options for apartment numbers. D&Co will contact Building Specialties for
further information. [Post meeting note: Building Specialties will submit sample numbers].

5/13/2003 -Jon reports no more acceptable letters available. Sample originally submitted with italic letters approved by
Owner.Roy will apply sample for Dave's inspection. Item Closed.
9.3 4/8/2003 -Meter covers: Roy has prepared sketch of meter covers. Roy reports that actual meter panels on hand are in
two columns rather than one column,as shown on drawings. D&Co will review.
4/15/2003 -Russ will submit shop drawing,with price for additional covers.
4/22/2003 -Item Ongoing.
5/6/2003 -Discussed preliminary sketches for 4 and 6 meter enclosures. Russ is having fabricator prepare shop drawings for
submittal. D&Co will review for strength. Bldg#I 9 will be different than standard configuration. Covers will not be ready in
time for first turnover of units. Dave agreed that temporary padlocks could be used until covers are installed after
occupancy.
5113/2003 - Shop drawings being prepared by fabricator. Roy will mortar holes left in brick at electric conduit entry into
building. Item Ongoing.
10.I 4/15/2003 -Flooring dispute: Discussed letter that Russ has received from flooring subcontractor, regarding cutting and
patching schedule, work being done under protest. Reviewed dispute procedures in DHCD handbook, pages 28 and 29.
John cautioned that disputed flooring work must be recorded,following general conditions 8.7.2 and 8.7.3.
4/22/2003 -Item Ongoing.
5/6/2003 -John handed out copies of rejection letter of COP#19.
5/13/2003 -Item Ongoing.
10.2 4/15/2003 -Change Orders: Reviewed status of all change orders. Some items to be revised slightly as discussed. Door
repairs: patch door and frame, not needed. Patch floor at closets: use floor 1 unit price. Register build out price revised
without caulking nail holes. Russ will review floor patching price at I7A bedroom, using Ardex. D&Co will prepare
paperwork for Owner's signature.
4/22/2003 - D&Co prepared CO#2 and 3, including baseboard and interior flooring and ceiling finishes. Discussed one to
two week turnaround time for signed paperwork from Boston. Reviewed sample construction change directive which
appears not to have any time advantage over change order. Jon and Tom will sign CO and send along to Boston. Reviewed
outstanding items on summary sheet: cop #8, register build out; cop #14, ardex pricing; cop #2 and 15, asbestos on
ductwork.
5/6/2003 -CO#1 and 2 have been signed. CO#3 is in Boston. CO#5 including time extensions, register trim, plumbing
repairs, and ardex flooring was handed out for signatures. Russ requested letter from Jon on proceeding with square foot
unit prices for floor patching.
5/13/2003 -Jon reports that Change Orders 2. 3,4, 5 and 6 were all approved by Housing Authority board last night. John
distributed copies of CO#6 for BCI signature.Item Ongoing.
10.4 4/15/2003 -Mold issues: Dave reports that Owner has scheduled testing of all Phase I units for this Thursday,with results
within 7 to 10 days. Russ notes that BCI has been proceeding with painting and other contract items, under Owner's
direction.
4/22/2003 -Jon reports that consultant UEC took samples last Thursday from 14 units,all of bldgs I, 8, 10 and half of 12.
They will be back on site this Thursday to complete samples.
5/6/2003 -Jon reports that consultants written report is due today. Preliminary report is that only unit#8B appears to have
mold issues. Jon does not see this as delaying the turnover procedures.
5/13/2003 -Jon reports that two walls at unit#8B, living room and upstairs bedroom,will have to be removed. Additional
lab tests are arriving for adjoining units. Jon expects results shortly. Universal Environmental Consultants are preparing a

scope of work for remediation of mold. D&Co will prepare scope of work for repairs after remediation. At e moment,
BCI will proceed with completion work at bldg#8 with exception of baseboard in unit#8B. Item Ongoing.
I I.I 4/22/2003 - Stored window material: Reviewed letter received yesterday from BCI regarding supplemen l requisition
for stored window material. Certificate of transfer of title to match form in DHCD handbook, including�eceipt from
manufacturer. D&Co will reply.
5/6/2003 -No answer has been received to letter requesting additional information. Russ will review.
5/13/2003 -No further information received from window supplier.Item Closed.
11.2 4/22/2003 -Temporary heat and electricity: NHA has not received payment for temporary heat and electricity to date,
and reminded BCI or requirements under temporary facilities.
5/6/2003 -NHA has still not received payment.
5/13/2003 -Jon reports that Mike Benson has assured him that the check is in the mail to the Housing Authority. Item
Ongoing.
12.I 5/6/2003 - Punch List: Discussed punch list procedures for first two buildings. Roy will request punch list NI(v''hen all city
inspections have been received, including building occupancy certificates. Floor washing and waxing and final cleaning will be
done after punch list. Russ anticipates completing punch list items in 2 days. Jon reports he will need 2 daysIfor housing
authority work, lock changeover,and moving in tenants;may need more than 2 days for other buildings.
5/13/2003 - Roy anticipates bldg #1 available for punch on May 22nd and bldg #8 on May 23rd. Dave has them on his
calendar. Item Ongoing.
12.2 5/6/2003 -Flooring Patches: Russ has located a brown VCT tile that he believes closely matches existing flooring, but tile
is not available immediately. Dave will check if NHA has any stored tiles. [Post meeting note: floor patching to proceed
using black tile until brown can be obtained].
5/13/2003 - Roy reports BCI has ordered tile, and will check if extra brown tile available at Owner's request.. Item
Ongoing.
12.3 5/6/2003 - Asbestos Monitoring: John reminded BCI that they must notify EnviroScience in sufficient time to allow
scheduling of asbestos monitor. Additional work will not start until first week of June at earliest.
5/13/2003 -Roy will contact AccuTech to make sure they schedule with EnviroScience. Item Closed.
12.4 5/6/2003 - Plumbing changes: John handed out PR #11 requesting price for replacement hose bibbs at gear of each
building. Discussed angle stops at bathrooms: Jon requested additional chrome sleeve so that all exposed piping is chrome
plated. D&Co will issue proposal request.
5/13/2003 -Items have been included as part of CO#6. Item Closed.
13.I 5/13/2003 -Bathroom window height: Discussed height of window header. Roy will adjust height in Phas,.• II and III so
that window trim lines up with existing windows. Item Closed.
13.2 5/13/2003 - Plumbing holes: Discussed holes under sink in kitchen cabinets and at bathroom swanstone. R.y will caulk
these before escutcheons put in place. Item Closed.
13.3 5/13/2003 -Heat: Dave is concerned that units are not being kept at proper temperature for resilient flooring nstallation-
bldg#12 bathroom flooring appears to be having problems.Roy will review requirements. Item Ongoing.
13.4 5/13/2003 -Bldg#18 and 19 Basements: Discussed wiring issues in raceway at finished basements. Roy will review with
electrician. Item Ongoing.
13.5 5/13/2003 - Kitchen cabinet door and drawer bumpers: Roy reports that his carpenter will check • at all foam
bumpers are in place. Item Closed.
