Dear Building Inspector:
I am forwarding a petition from a number of condominium owners at River Run who would like
to see further action taken to investigate the affidavit supplied to you by Hampshire Management
Company and Patricia Taylor.
I personally called your office several times to find out when the hearing would be held about the
zoning variance, so that I could attend and express my opinions. The last few times I called I was
told that the City was`working with their lawyers." My concern is that your "work with their
lawyers"gave Hampshire an avenue to skirt the current zoning laws and that they may have said
whatever they needed to in their affidavit in order to meet the requirements of bypassing the law,
rather than going to a public hearing where Northampton citizens and River Run owners could
have expressed their opinion on the zoning variance.
I would appreciate a response to our petition either in writing to the above address or by phone at
413-545-4875 during the work day. Thank you very much for taking the time to address our
concerns.
