Dear Mr. Fournier:
This will certify that on April 9, 1980, in the presence of Mr. Robert Langdon,
Northampton Plumbing Inspector, I conducted two (2) percolation tests and two
(2) deep pit observations on a piece of property at the Ox Bow consisting of
28,750 sq. ft. Percolation rates of 2.5 and 3 minutes per inch were established
at depths of 24 to 36" below existing grade in the area proposed for a private
sewage disposal system.
The deep pit observations (see Soil Log enclosed) showed ground water at, 6' 4'
and 5' 6" respectively at the prime and alternate sites. it should be noted
that the river 16'ei was two to three feet above normal at the time of the
testing and the water levels in the observation pits closely resembles the
river level ,
It is proposed to restore a one bedroom camp with a toilet, shower lavatory
and kitchen sink for seasona' i; ?I 1 7rt t and
200 sq. ft. leach area sh. ,;?d be: qdo4Late the needs of this camp.
Because of the critical elevation, involved and the necessity for the leaching
facility to be 4' above the water table when the camp is in use, I suggest you
engage the services of a professional engineer to do the required laygy± with
elevations and cross sections showing cut and fill lines .
