Dear Frank,
It has come to the attention of the Conservation Commission that you have a number of floating
docks at your property on Old Springfield Road. Whenever a structure is placed or an activity is
conducted in a jurisdictional resource area, in this case the Connecticut River, a permit from the
Conservation Commission is required. ,
I am enclosing a Request for Determination of Applicability form for you to complete. This
pp p
would be the most expedient way to go about getting a pIeinit from the 'Commission, as long as
you can show that the activity and the structures do not present an alteration of the resource area.
Please submit the completed application to the Office of Planning and Development by
Thursday, October 23 in order to be on the agenda for November 13. I believe that you will also
need to obtain a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection under the Public
Waterfront Act after the Commission issues a local permit.
If you should have any questions about the form or the pennrittirig process, please do not hesitate
to contact me at 5 87-1263.
Sincerely,
. notm-____ ,
