Hi Jasmine,
As we discussed, this is the area we would like to put the freezer containers. We would remove the fence and
clean up the pavement road way. The front edge of the containers would be at the edge of the blacktop drive
extending out into the field. We would level the area with compacted gravel to rest the containers on. Deliveries
would be received by me or another Dining Services staff member. Only full cases will be delivered to and taken
from the site, so no card board or other waste will be stored around the area. We will have the containers, closed
and locked at all times. If you need any other information please let me know.

SUBJECT: Standby Specifications for Vector Units with
Dual Voltage Transformer
This General Bulletin replaces GEN12-004 released on 5/30/2012.
Carrier Transicold has introduced a transformer for the Vector product line which
will enable both 460VAC and 230VAC standby capability. Attached is an
electrical specification sheet for Vector units operating on standby with or without
the dual voltage transformer.
Please take the opportunity to distribute this information to your customers.

*FLA is adjustable in the microprocessor configuration with a maximum of 22A (460V)
Minimum Requirements for Standby Infrastructure
1. Ensure that the standby power installation is performed by a licensed electrician who is familiar with both local and national electric codes and requirements.
2. Each refrigeration unit must be protected by an individual circuit breaker sized per the appropriate unit electrical specification listed above.
3. A continuous earthing ground conductor must be provided at the plug and through the power cord to the refrigeration unit.
4. Carrier Transicold recommends that customers establish an Assured Equipment Grounding Conductor Program per the National Electric Code (NEC). Per the
Assured Equipment Grounding Conductor Program, the NEC calls for all cordsets to be verified for ground continuity and correct wiring on a 3 month basis.
5. A neutral conductor MUST NOT be connected to the refrigeration units. All Carrier Transicold refrigeration units are balanced three phase systems;therefore,
the unit only requires three phase wires and a ground conductor.
6. Standby power cordsets
a. 460V cordsets between the circuit breaker and the refrigeration unit MUST be constructed from 10/4 SOOW cable. Carrier recommends a cable
length between power source circuit breaker and refrigeration unit circuit breaker to be a minimum length of 50 feet to limit maximum fault currents
and prevent damage to the power circuits with the unit.
b. 230V cordsets between the circuit breaker and the refrigeration unit MUST be constructed from 4/4 SOOW cable. There is no minimum cable
length requirement. For low voltage sources (208V+/-10%), do not exceed 85 feet.
