Hello,
On December 6, 2016 1 responded to the above address with the Dept of Health for an odor of gas. It
was determined that there was a natural gas leak at the water heater. Columbia Gas responded to shut
off the heater.
It was determined that the room is too small to provide enough make up air for the combustion for the
water heater to operate properly. The room calculations were done by Schneider Plumbing.
Your options are to either replace it with a direct vent water heater or change over to an electric water
heater. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
