Dear Mr. Sarat:
This office represents Christine Grimaldi, the owner of the property at 49 Pine
Brook Curve, Northampton, Massachusetts. This follows my letter of March 16, 2020 and
your email response of March 23, 2020. In that email of six weeks ago,you stated that you
"had taken steps" to repair or replace the fence between your property and Ms. Grimaldi
"in a timely manner." You stated that there might be a delay due to the current Pandemic.
I spoke this afternoon to Hastie Fence Company, a well-known contractor in this
field. They stated that they could come out to review the work to be done and give an
estimate for this work within the next week. They are conducting fence repair in the field
at the current time (notwithstanding the current state of emergency).
Now that the calendar has turned to May and almost two months has passed since
my letter to you with no resolution, I must insist that the fence repair be scheduled as soon
as possible. I am sending copies of this letter to the Department of Planning and the
Building Department of Northampton to make them aware that there is an ongoing
violation of the permits for your Northampton Ford Dealership due to the disrepair of the
fence buffering the dealership's property from Ms. Grimaldi's.
On behalf of Ms. Grimaldi,we have attempted to resolve this in an amicable manner.
We would be pleased if a cooperative resolution is still at hand.
