the deck is 16'wide, 18'out from house.3 foot railings and a 4'set of stairs off the side.Top of deck is approximately 25"-30"off the ground all the way
around.we dug 4-10"sonotubes.The tubes are 10 feet apart ctr to ctr with a doubled 2x12 beam.One beam closest to the house(freestanding deck)
and the other beam is approximately 12'away running parellel also with a doubled 2x12 as the beam.The inspector that came today told me the 2x12
need to be sandwiched because the way we had it was sitting on a knotched 6x6 with a space between.we took it apart and sandwiched the 2x12.
