This site visit was made to check on the status of demolition work and the east dormer framing.
The following items were noted -
1. The east side of the main roof was stripped of roofing and sheathing. All HVAC ductwork
within the existing rafter bays was removed. The new dormer wall was framed and rafter
installation was beginning. The dormer header height had been increased to 7’-2” in order
that both east and west dormers could be identical and the egress door height on the west
side would be adequate. SJ intended to have the new roof framed and sheathed prior to
the incoming storm.
2. The ceiling on the first floor was removed and wiring work was ongoing.
3. SJ is coordinating with RH on the reinforcement requirements for the existing roof beam.
RH will provide documentation on the required LVL sistering and connections.
4. Due to equipment and ducting needs, the window in the equipment room may need to be
eliminated. SJ will confirm.
5. A signed and wet-stamped Construction Control affidavit and an updated set of drawings
was delivered to SJ on site.
