The plans submitted are approved with the following stipulations:
Smoke and CO detectors at the bottom of the stairs and at a minimum a heat detector in the mechanical room.
Vertical fire stopping at every ten feet horizontally.
Horizontal fire blocking separating stud cavities from joist cavities.
Closet under the stairs must be drywalled.
Exercise room must have a light or switched outlet upon entry.
Work must conform to 780 CMR 7th addition 1 and 2 family with 2009 IECC.
