Here’s a quick list of the items I’d like to review.
Page A1: I’m confused as to construction type (5A or 5B) and structural component fire resistance ratings. Also, it looks like the code references are for 6th edition Mass code
Floor/ceiling unit separations req’d (section 711)
Occupancy separation 708.3, not 302.3.2
What is the boiler room separation (A-1.01)
All doors are rated 20 minutes; should the stairway doors be rated 45 min (A-5.04, section 1019.1 to 715.3)
Draft stopping in the attic space (A-5.01, section 717.4.2; wouldn’t exception #3 apply?)
We don’t seem to have an energy conservation report (ComCheck or ASHRE)
I can’t find an alarm system plan or specifications (not in the fire narrative; 4(D). Was it submitted?
I’m fairly certain that the required fire separations are shown in the plan details but I’d like to be sure we’re on the same page before the framing starts. Thanks for your time.
