36 -075 363 Westhampton Road structual repairs 2016-03-15 Bob Walker March 15, 2016 Construct Associates 36 Service Center Way Northampton, MA 01060 re: Structural Deficiencies Address - 363 Westhampton Road Map- Lot – 36-075 Dear Mr. Walker, After work beyond the scope of the existing building permits was discovered, and you agreed to take a permit to cover the work and required repair we conducted an inspection of the structural work underway and found the following items need to be corrected. The following are items that will need to be rectified to obtain an occupancy permit for this single family home. The second floor support beam that has been removed must be sized and replaced. The entire rear shed roof must be removed and rebuilt including leveling and repairing the supporting wall. The Lally column in the basement must be replaced with a solid cement filled column and set on appropriate bearing. Both egresses must be corrected to meet current code requirements including appropriate bearing. Plan required. The front porch must be supported by appropriate bearing supporting sound materials.
