Dear Mr. Forish,
We still need DPW approval before we can issue the foundation permit, but everything else is set.
I have reviewed the most recent building plans. We still need information showing compliance with the stretch energy code (2009 IECC and 780 CMR appendix 115AA); specifically section
502 and tables 502.2 and 502.3 for windows and doors, section 503 for building mechanicals, section 504 for service water heating and section 505 for electrical power and lighting systems.
We will also need testing reports as required by appendix 115AA section 503.2.9. Some of these reports must be presented prior to the certificate of occupancy.
Once we have the steel drawings, I would be willing to extend the foundation permit to include the steel frame if the energy conservation info is not available.
I am also waiting for Fire Department approval for the sprinkler system; I don’t know if Warehouse Mechanical has been in touch with them directly but I haven’t seen any plans.
