CB reports TCI has started mobilization,
confirming existing conditions, beginiing layout
for new roof support structure.

Sidewalk removal scheduled to begin
Thursday morning, begin at Beehive end,
cutting for a few hours, removal follows.
MF to arrange for TCI staff on hand to redirect
pedestrians, SH notify tenants Wednesday MF, SH

Parking arrangements reviewed. TCI using
McCarthy overflow parking lot, Zuli's lot, and
street parking. MF indicates that TCI dump
truck will overnight in McCarthy lot.
SH will get recycling bins recently placed in
front of jersey barriers relocated to create
another parking space.

Installation of temporary protection walls is
beginning. Due to need to cut gypbd in order
to get attic beams in and still have
maneuvering room, at first temporary walls in
third floor apartment will be taped poly, once
beam in place, then plywood temporary wall
installed.
CB will notify Northampton Coffee of
temporary wall installation, probably Tuesday
next week maybe the next day. SH to confirm
notifiction w/ tenant

CB reviewed roof support post details, RH
confirms attachment at bottom of post on
plate on existing 6x6 beam on masonry wall;
splicing the post, stagger by a foot, close to
floor or ceiling.
CB & RH will review in field after meeting CB, RH

CB reviewed roof support beam bearing
details. RH confirms not splicing the beam,
beams begin and end on centerline of post,
suggests lapping 2x6 down sides for lateral
bracing and attachement; no bearing
plate/saddle needed.

CB points out there is barely enough room
above third floor false ceiling and under attic
ceiling joists for beams, both in terms of depth
of beam and to accomdate out-of-level
condition of existing building.
Conclusion to keep as designed, slope beam
to existing conditions. RH will determine
allowable amount to be trimmed if/when
necessary; confirms no saddle shop drawing
submittal required.

CB indicates staging installation is scheduled
to occur on Tuesday and Wednesday next
week. MF notes this may slide a day or two,
depending on foundation inspection
requirements.

TCI anticipates sufficient sidewalk removal
Friday to provide three foundation inspection
pits: 2'deep, 2' wide, and 3-5' long.
CB will notify RH & PF when ready, RH will
inspect and if needed indicate locations for
further excavation and inspection.

MF explains once foundation trench is
complete in an area, trench will be partially
filled w/ membrane installed at an angle with
excess collected above fill placed on top of
membrane, to povide base for scaffolding.
TCI to sumbit and PF to review membrane
shop drawing immediately.TCI, PF

MF notified SH that McCarthy Properties or
HPMG need to submit request to Gas
Company for relocation of gas meters within
next few weeks.

14 CB indicates single electrical outlet in
basement is insufficient for temporary needs.
CB will contact Beaulieu to arrange for
temporary power from basement CB

EWS is removing baseboard heat at third floor
apartment Wednesday. CB has reviewed with
tenant.
CB to confirm if this removes heating from
entire apartment or just front rooms.CB

CB reports the dumpster will be placed in
parking spaces in center of building day after
scaffolding is complete.

LG noted to SH that third floor tenant
contacted TCI for an update, CB is in touch
with him each day.

18 SH announced that second floor apartment is
rented as of 1 Sept.TCI to install temporary wall before move-in. CB
19 LG asked PF to review draft submittal
schedule to confirm items needed.PF to review PF

PF reported that price quoted to Beaulieu for
light fixture "A" is well over estimate provided
by distributor in Boston. PF is attempting to
contact distributor. PF suggested we may
wish to consider an alternative approach,
particularly if it coordinates with business
tenants' requests for vertical signage above
awnings. SH indicated McCarthys are not
enthusiastic about banners.

SH requested that when soil is removed for
foundation inspection, samples be taken for
submittal to Umass extension service for
analysis to determine if there is something in
soil that is killing trees in sidewalk.
SH will coordinate w/ Bill McCarthy to be
available on Friday with three buckets to
receive samples.
