May 22, 2017 Louis Hasbrouck Building Commissioner Building Department Puchalski Municipal Building 212 Main St. Northampton, MA 01060 Dear Mr. Hasbrouck: Creative Dimensions has been selected as the vendor for an upcoming sign project at the Northampton Big Y located at 136 N. King Street, Rt. 5. Big Y is currently going through a chain- wide branding/logo change that involves the exterior sign package at each store in their chain over the next few years. Big Y is targeting the Northampton location renovation in this year's budget. This letter and attachments are intended to give explanation with regard to the changes requested. The changes to the existing sign package include the following: Replacement of the current illuminated road/pylon sign face tenant panels. Replacement faces will be polycarbonate sign face material with die cut vinyl lettering. (Ref. Pages 9 & 10) Removal of the existing illuminated "Big Y" script logo signs on both towers and replacing with new circle logo signs internally illuminated with more reliable and efficient LED lighting. (Ref. Pages 2 through 5) Replacement of non-illuminated tagline lettering "World Class Market" and "*American Family Owned*" on each tower. (Ref. Pages 2 through 5) Removal of the existing illuminated "Big Y" script lettering on the side elevation and replacing with a new circle logo internally illuminated with LED lighting (Ref. Page 6 & 7) Removal of all existing non-illuminated high density urethane sub department letter sets (Ref.
