38B-004 HESCO_FLOOD_ProductSheet_16_12_13(1)Flood Barriers Flood Lined Units When Flood Lined units are joined and fi lled, their cellular structure and mesh framework create walls of exceptional strength and structural integrity. Based on the renowned HESCO® Concertainer™ concept, HESCO fl ood barriers can be deployed quickly and easily, to construct fl ood defenses without the need for specialized tradesmen or equipment – making it ideal for emergency response. Flood Lined units reduce seepage rates signifi cantly and HESCO fl ood barriers have signifi cant advantages over traditional sandbags, in terms of cost, time and labor requirement for installation. HESCO Flood Lined units are available as standard or recoverable, and the versatility of the Flood Lined unit means that corners, curves and angles can be constructed easily. Completely modular in design, there is no limit to the height or length of a HESCO fl ood barrier, provided that space is available for suffi cient base width. Where a long-term structure might be required, such as on a river or canal bank, HESCO units can be planted with suitable grasses and other vegetation, forming a natural landscape, as well as a protective structure. Storm Lined units are also available, for use when debris impact in fast moving water is a factor.
