Responsible Party for Operation & Maintenance of Stormwater System • The Owner Financial Responsibility for Operation & Maintenance of Stormwater System: • The Owner Maintenance Schedule The stormwater system on this property consists of gutters to collect roof water connected to 6 inch roof leaders flowing to 3 underground leaching galleys in the northwestern corner of the property. The system will be maintained in good working order. Leaching Galleys The underground infiltration system is equipped with an inspection port located on the inlet galley. Inspection of the galleys will take place one year after commissioning, every third year following the initial construction and after significant storm events of 3 inches or greater. The inspection from the surface, through this access, will include observation of water level and measurement of accumulated sediment and debris. A stadia rod may be used to measure the depth of sediment if any in this galley. If ponding is observed in the chambers occurring 72 hours after a storm, the basin is not performing as designed and maintenance, repair or reconstruction of the chamber system is required. Roof Gutters The roof gutters should be maintained with screens or other measures to prevent debris going down the downspouts into the underground infiltration system. Regular cleaning of leaves and other debris in the gutters should be completed on an annual basis or more frequent as needed to minimize debris reaching the underground infiltration system. Record Keeping and Annual Reports Records shall be maintained by the owners as described above and shall document all routine and emergency maintenance work performed by the owners or under the supervision of the owners to the stormwater management system and shall bear the signature of the individual supervising the work. Annual reports documenting the inspection, maintenance, and proper functioning of the stormwater management system in accordance with the approved design shall be submitted to the Northampton Department of Public Works and the Northampton Office of Planning and Development no later than October 1st of each year. The annual report shall document any deficiencies in function or maintenance of the stormwater management system and include a plan to correct the deficiencies.
