Your building permit application dated 2-2-2015 and plans dated 1-23-2015 have been approved as drawn, noted and per this memo. All work must meet all applicable codes whether noted
or not included within this memo.
Please follow up on the following items:
These items will need to be accomplished as the project moves forward and before rough inspections;
Smoke, and CO detector is required within the space.
An emergency escape window is required within every sleeping room.
An air barrier (solid material sealed in place) is required between the shower and the wall cavity.
No kitchen or kitchenette will be installed at this time. This space cannot be turned into an independent living space without first taking a building permit and making necessary changes
to meet code requirements.
Note: The 2012 IECC with MA amendments is the non-stretch energy code and the new Stretch Code expected to be completed in February 2015. We are currently using the 2009 IECC and Stretch
Code.
