Re: Hart Studio Project, Northampton, MA: Structural review. Dear Rachael, I have completed a structural review of the final plans for the Hart Studio Project, dated 4/21/17. I
have reviewed the data for the helical piles and have done the necessary calculations to confirm that the 5¼”x 11-7/8” treated parallam girders, the 10¼” SIP floor panels, the 2x6 wall framing, the wall and header details for the 12’ sliding door, the 2x10 roof framing, the deck and cold storage framing, and the steel beam and column supporting the roof over the deck are adequate. These plans meet the structural requirements of the current MA State Building Code.
