A r c h i t e c t s June 13, 2018 Mr. Louis Hasbrouck Building Commissioner City of Northampton 212 Main St. Northampton, MA 01060 RE:Multi-Tenant Office/Retail Building 55 Damon rd Northampton, MA 01060 Dear Mr. Hasbrouck, Per your preliminary review of the plans dated April 27, 2018 for the above referenced project, we have included supplementary information as follows. Below lists out the items you have asked us to address: 1)Occupancy Load and Use: a)Tenant #3 will be a “Business” use group. The occupancy load will be 32, based on 3,198sf / 100 Gross. b)We have assumed that Tenant #1 and Tenant #2 could be Mercantile or Business. The occupancy load of these could be between 20-50 persons, and would depend on the individual tenant plans. 2)Referenced Building Code: a)The Building Code referenced on A0.1 is the IBC 2015 with MA amendments. We plan to utilize the IEBC 2015 with MA amendments, instead. We have included an IEBC Narrative to support this as documentation. 3)Demising wall to roof deck detail: a)We have included SKA-1 to add this detail to the plans. 4)Roof drain locations: a)These have been coordinated with the Civil Engineer. Plans have been resubmitted separately. 5)Photometric plans: a)We have included a photometric plan of the entire site, with only the building lighting, as a supplement to what was originally submitted for site lighting. This shows the extent of building lighting levels around the building(s). Please call with any questions you may have or if there is any additional information you may need.
