The applicant has constructed a residential development under a prior Site Plan Review and
Special Permit (within the URC zoning district). The approved permitting site plans originally
showed one of the 2-story duplex buildings to be constructed to be 10.2' from the nearest
corner of the existing building known as#5 Pomeroy Terrace.The#5 Pomeroy Terrace building
was rehabilitated and during the renovation process there were structural constraints that led
to the relocation of a stair tower to the west side of the building. The construction of this stair
tower now results in a 5.6' separation between the adjacent 2-story duplex at its closest point.
The applicant is seeking confirmation that this separation distance does not result in a zoning
issue. Please refer to the accompanying plans.
