Contractor/Others assumes all risk for shoring, bracing, protection against weather/elements, and any and all MEP, HVAC equipment/ utility work that may be required for the project. 2. Contractor/Others to verify condition of all materials and site/soils for suitable use and verify/check any and all framing dimensions with plans. Any changes or discrepancies shall be brought to the written attention and rectified by the engineer/designer. Assumed soil bearing capacity for design is 2,500 pounds per square foot (psf). 3. Contractor/Others to provide suitable/anchored concrete footings for all PT structural 6x6 posts as bearing supports. 4. Contractor shall utilize and is responsible for proper excavation techniques and provide proper backfill/ vibratory compaction methods in 1’ lifts. Over- excavation shall NOT be permitted. 5. Contractor shall provide temporary support for all embedded concrete posts into concrete to ensure weight of posts DO NOT SETTLE or PUNCH THROUGH concrete during monolithic (one) pour. Design supporting concrete bearing for posts is 12”. Allow 4” of cover for bottom end of studded posts. Posts shall be installed/braced vertically plumb. 6. Contractor to ensure post/concrete is adequately cured per manufacturer specs BEFORE framing is installed atop posts. 7. All post/beam reaction support loads shall be positively supported down to foundation for gravity and strapped for uplift forces. Unless otherwise specified, all fasteners, connections, and framing details to be the responsibility of the contractor/others in accordance with approved manufacturer’s specifications, approved constructions methods, and current building code. 9. The ends of each 3-ply 2x10 plate beams over all vertical corner post connection shall be stepped to ensure proper bearing for BOTH 90 degree intersecting posts. (6) – 8” long timber screws shall be installed (3 per side) per 2x lamination. 10. Nailed Simpson corner/plate beam connections for 6x6 posts can be used or 4x4x¼” thick clip angles with (4) ½” lag bolts (2 into post, 2 into beam). 11. All lateral 2x wall framing and or exterior wall sheathing/siding/façade/cladding/door/windows shall be responsibility of others. 12. All roofing materials, flashing, sheathing, fasteners, nailing schedule shall be responsibility of others. 13. It is recommended that all embedded posts (at/below grade) shall be covered with asphalt and or other protective coating to prevent rot and shall be responsibility of others. 14. All shoring and methods for temp/permanent supporting of structure shall be responsibility of the contractor/others. 15. No substitutions of materials or changes to load bearing/load path supports shall be performed without written consent of the engineer.
