CONDUIT NOTES:
1. ALL OUTDOOR CONDUIT TO BE RGS OR IMC AND HAVE RAIN-TIGHT CONNECTORS AND COUPLINGS
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
2. ALL NEW CONDUIT TO BE EMT, OR RGS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
3. ALL NEW CONDUITS AT ROOF ARE TO BE SURFACE MOUNTED, WHERE ATOP THE ROOF THE
CONDUITS SHALL BE SUPPORTED BY C-PORT DEVICES OR EQUIVALENT. CONDUIT SUPPORTS
SHALL BE LOCATED WITHIN 1' OF EVERY COUPLING FOR ALL HORIZONTAL CONDUIT RUNS ON
ROOF. CONDUIT LOCATED IN OPEN WALKING SECTIONS OF THE ROOF SHALL BE MARKED WITH
REFLECTIVE CAUTION TAPE.
4. THE EXACT ROUTING OF THE CONDUIT SHALL ACCOMMODATE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND
OBSTACLES. CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN OWNER APPROVAL OF PROPOSED ROUTING PRIOR TO
COMMENCING INSTALLATION.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL WATERPROOF SEAL ALL PENETRATIONS AND CORING THROUGH WALLS AND
FLOORS WITH FIRE RETARDANT MATERIALS. ALL PENETRATIONS TO BE SEALED ACCORDINGLY.
ELECTRICAL NOTES:
1. THIS PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 2014 & 2017 EDITION OF
THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (NEC) AND LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODES CURRENTLY BEING
ENFORCED BY THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION (AHJ), PARTICULARLY ARTICLE 690, SOLAR
PHOTOVOLTAIC (DC) SYSTEMS.
2. A GROUND FAULT DETECTION AND INTERRUPTION (GFDI) DEVICE IS INTEGRATED WITH THE
INVERTER IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEC 690.5(A)(B)(C).
3. DISCONNECT SWITCH SHALL BE WIRED SUCH THAT WHEN THE SWITCH IS OPENED THE
CONDUCTORS REMAIN LIVE. CONDUCTORS TOWARDS MAIN SWITCHGEAR REMAIN LIVE AND
SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO TERMINALS MARKED "LINE SIDE". CONDUCTORS TOWARDS PV
MODULES SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO TERMINALS MARKED "LOAD SIDE".
4. PHASE AND NEUTRAL CONDUCTORS SHALL BE COPPER, MINIMUM #12 AWG, SOLID WIRE MAY BE
USED. EXPOSED PHASE AND NEUTRAL CONDUCTORS SHALL BE USE-2 INSULATED. ALL OTHER
PHASE AND NEUTRAL CONDUCTORS SHALL BE THWN-2 INSULATED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
5. GROUNDING AND BONDING CONDUCTORS SHALL BE COPPER, MINIMUM #10AWG, SOLID OR
STRANDED WIRE MAY BE USED. EXPOSED GROUNDING AND BONDING CONDUCTORS SHALL BE
UNINSULATED. ALL OTHER GROUNDING AND BONDING CONDUCTORS SHALL BE THWN-2 INSULATED
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
6. DC CONDUCTORS SHALL BE COLOR CODED AS FOLLOWS

ACCORDANCE WITH NEC 690.53.
12. MARKING OF THE INTERACTIVE SYSTEM POINT OF CONNECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH NEC 690.54.
13. INSTALLATION OF THE GEC FROM THE INVERTERS TO THE SERVICE SHALL BE PROVIDED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH NEC 250.64
14. PANEL PV1 SHALL BE PROVIDED IN NEMA 1 ENCLOSURE.
15. FUSED AC DISCONNECT TO BE PROVIDED WITH THE INVERTER.
16. SYSTEM SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH REMOTE SHUT DOWN AND ARC FAULT DETECTION AND
INTERRUPTION PROTECTION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEC 2014 ARTICLE 690.11.
17. PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS WITH DC SOURCE CIRCUITS, DC OUTPUT CIRCUITS, OR BOTH,
OPERATING AT A PV SYSTEM MAXIMUM SYSTEM VOLTAGE OF 80 VOLTS OR GREATER, SHALL BE
PROTECTED BY A LISTED (DC) ARC-FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER. PV TYPE, OR OTHER SYSTEM
COMPONENTS LISTED TO PROVIDE EQUIVALENT PROTECTION. THE PV ARC-FAULT PROTECTION
MEANS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
(1) THE SYSTEM SHALL DETECT AND INTERRUPT ARCING FAULTS IN DC PV SOURCE AND OUTPUT
CIRCUITS.
(2) THE SYSTEM SHALL REQUIRE THAT THE DISABLED OR DISCONNECTED EQUIPMENT BE
MANUALLY RESTARTED.
18.DISCONNECT SHALL BE UTILITY LOCKABLE AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL UTILITY
REQUIREMENTS.
