Re: Three County Fairgrounds, Map/Lot 25C-264
Dear Ms. Keller,
At your request, I surveyed a number of structures at the Three County Fairgrounds in Northampton.
The tunnel that led under the horse race track is unserviceable and beyond hope of repair. In its present condition it presents a hazard to life safety and must be secured against authorized
entry until it is removed.
The soda stand next to the west gate of the fairgrounds should be removed because it is unusable in its present condition and any sort of repairs are financially impractical.
The old pari-mutuel building has deteriorated to the point that it must be demolished as soon as possible.

In accordance with the Massachusetts State Building Code, 780CMR Chapter 1, section 116 and Massachusetts G.L. chapter 143, I am notifying you that you must immediately secure the structure
to prevent unauthorized entry, and that you must make it safe as soon as is reasonably possible.
If you do not contact me before 12:00 noon on April 23, 2013, I will take further action on this matter.
