General Contractors are responsible for distributing this addendum to their sub-bidders and suppliers. Indicate receipt of this addendum in the appropriate place on the bid form. The bid documents dated August 1, 2016 are amended as follows: SPECIFICATIONS: ADD4.1 Clarification as requested via RFI: Specification Section 230000 HVAC, Paragraph 2.25 Automatic Temperature Controls, Item B. ADD: Existing hot water radiation zones (5), heating hot water pumps (5), and steam control valve shall be controlled to operate on a hot water temperature reset schedule whenever outdoor temperature is below 30 deg F (adjustable) and the zone temperature corresponding to the given pump’s zone is 70 deg F or below (adj). DRAWINGS: PLUMBING: ADD4.2 CORRECTION Drawing P1.1B: REVISE cold water piping serving toilets to be 1-inch in lieu of 1/2". (Note that the existing toilets in Henshaw B, C, and D are flush valve type and existing cold water piping serving the existing toilets is 1-inch.) ADD4.3 CORRECTION Drawing P1.1C: REVISE cold water piping serving toilets to be 1-inch in lieu of 1/2". (Note that the existing toilets in Henshaw B, C, and D are flush valve type and existing cold water piping serving the existing toilets is 1-inch.) HVAC: Proj. (Note: Scope of work is unchanged). ADD4.5 Drawing HD1.1C DELETE the following language that had been added in Addendum 3 NOTES: “Controls shall be interlocked to prohibit operation of heat pump system in cooling mode when the baseboard radiation heating system is in operation.” ADD4.6 Drawing HD1.1B DELETE the following language that had been added in Addendum 3 NOTES: “Controls shall be interlocked to prohibit operation of heat pump system in cooling mode when the baseboard radiation heating system is in operation. “ ADD4.7 Drawing H1.1E ADD NOTE: The existing 1-pipe steam boiler heating system serving the building shall remain. Remove the two (2) steam radiators on the 3rd floor (not shown on drawings), along with the riser pipes up to the third floor radiators. Cap piping at main. At new Vestibule 100V, relocate the existing 1-pipe steam radiator to the wall behind the door. Proj. ADD4.9 Drawing E1.0E, EP1.1E ADD GENERAL NOTE (to each the first floor and basement) Provide 20A-1P breaker with 2#12+#12G branch circuit wiring to support temperature control systems. Coordinate with HVAC controls contractor, and Provide power from nearest available panelboard.
