Ron,
I went through the files. I didn't get everything on my thumb drive (for sure no punch list), but the substantial completions from the
engineers and the contractor are all there. Interestingly, Curtis Edgin, the original architect who signed on as responsible for the whole
project and the architectural, didn't sign off. Jim Hanifan signed off on the architectural, but didn't sign off on the whole project. It might
just be an oversight. I think we should try to talk to Curtis.
Also, the commissioning documents are a little confusing. I don't think they are all there. It would take a few more hours to sort through,
but I don't see a "final, final" report, and there are a few blank reports and "open" items in the various commissioning reports.
The next step is a formal final inspection with the architect. Since Jim seems to have taken over for Curtis, it would be him. I'd want to
walk through the whole building on my own first and work through the punch list before we walk through together.
I don't know what the time frame is, and time is tight between the holidays. What happens next? Let me know.
