The Department of Public Works in conjunction with the Building
Commissioner will be closing Round Hill Road to thru traffic from Elm Street
to Bancroft Road starting today, Tuesday August 9th, 2016 until August 23,
2016.
This road closure is required to in order to safely remove fire debris from the
damaged building at 49 Round Hill Road. The road will remain closed until fire
debris removal operations are complete and normal construction resumes. The
close proximity of the work zone to the road edge is too narrow for passing
vehicles while excavators load large dump trucks and dumpsters in the
roadway.
This section of roadway will be accessible for local residents only, and the
contractors who are involved in the debris removal/restoration operation.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to be extremely cautious when
approaching this work zone.
This message will be updated as needed during this operation.
