49 RHR notes9/2/16 Rogers Hall update Site visit; Arment started outside cleanup. They expect to start removing interior debris on Tuesday. Inspected current conditions at Rogers; no significant changes noted. It is possible that some loose brick from one of the chimneys has fallen. Photographs are in file. CRS finished work in Hubbard. Inspection to close out their permit is done. Crocker Builders is taking over the renovations. No problems anticipated for the plumbing and gas work in Hubbard. Temporary power for Hubbard is being set up. Work delays due to insurance company investigators. I went to Rogers Hall this morning to check the progress on cleanup and making the building safe. I was glad to see a crew removing the debris surrounding the building and preparing to start on the interior. The contractor informed me that they would start clearing out the interior Tuesday, September 8th. I received an email this afternoon that originated with Attorney Paul Bartolacci. Attorney Bartolacci reports that the insurance company’s fire investigation is continuing, that plans are in place to shore up a portion of the building on Tuesday, September 6th and to investigate on Thursday, September 8th. I need an assurance that this investigation will be completed on Thursday, September 8th. If the necessary equipment is not present and cleanup work does not commence on Friday, September 9th I am prepared to enter the property and cause it to be made safe or taken down or to be made secure.
