Remarks: 12:00 pm-12:30 pm 68 degrees drizzle
The following was observed (Action items are in bold and italicized):
-The rough frame was essentially complete. There was some plywood that still needed to be applies to the front
right corner of the structure.
-Roof trusses have been erected and connected to the exterior walls with Simpson ties as required. Any and all
bracing required was in place.
-Shear wall construction was complete but not in accordance with the drawings. I reviewed the existing conditions
versus the requirements based on the design drawings with the framer. The required blocking and nailing at the
horizontal joints of the plywood was not done. In reviewing the design drawings he will provide the necessary
blocking and nailing at all of the shear wall locations. In addition, the holdowns required at each end of
the shear walls were not in place. He indicated that the hardware is coming tomorrow and that they would
be installed accordingly.
-The front headers had only one king stud on either side of the openings. The framer will add the second king
stud on either side of the openings.
