You need to contact the planning office (Sarah LaValley, 587-1263)for a hearing. She can tell you about the process. If you can't get approval by the commission, you will need to remove it. The work on the 1 st and 2nd floors looks ok except for electrical and plumbing.You need to get have an electrician check the wiring to make sure polarity is ok and that kitchen outlets are gfic protected. You need to have a plumber take a permit for the new piping for the kitchen sink. We need to find out what happened on the 3rd floor. Based on a conversation with the owner's brother it seems like it wasn't finished space before the recent work. You'll need to open some ceiling so we can check insulation and to check the wiring for overhead ligjts.We also need to check the smoke and CO detectors to see if they meet code. If they don't, we will discuss the situation. Let me know your plans after you get in touch with the planning office.
