The post and beam style house rafters are full dimension 50.5 installed at 48"on-center, spanning 13'-3", with a roof pitch of 9/12. The rafters are supported at the top by a well- supported ridge beam which prevents the roof from spreading. 2x6 tongue and groove boards span the rafters to form the bottom layer of roof decking. 8 solar panels are to be installed on the west roof of the main house.The roofing is asphalt shingles. The roof framing on the garage consists of 2x8 rafters installed at 16"on-center, spanning 13'6", with a roof pitch of 6/12. The ceiling joists are attached to the exterior walls which prevents the roof from spreading. 19 solar panels are to be installed on the south roof of the garage. The roofing is asphalt shingles.
