Detailed Project Information
Special Permit Description: The project will not have a detrimental impact on the adjoining properties.
It may provide a benefit by reducing the stone water temperature. The project will have no impact on
existing traffic. The structure will provide shade to vehicles parked in the lot and will offset fossil
consumption. The project will not impact city resources. The canopy will reduce the temperature of
storm water. This has a net benefit impact on the water cycle as elevated water spikes can have
detrimental impacts on the environment. The canopy will not reduce open space and it will decrease the
carbon footprint of the city.

other community assets in the area as it relates to landscaping, drainage,sight lines,building orientation,massing,egress,and
setbacks.

I've reviewed the plans for the ground mounted PV array at 71 King Street in Northampton. The plans are approved.
The planning board site plan approval (Sept 14, 2017) needs to be recorded at the Hampshire Registry of Deeds before I
can issue the building permit(per zoning 350-4.10)
The city clerk holds the decision until the appeals period expires. It is available in the clerk's office if it has not been
picked up already.
Let us know when it has been recorded or bring a copy to the office and we'll issue the permit.
