These 4 teams are proposing to use the fields at the Oxbow Marina to host a High School Ultimate Frisbee Tournament for high school teams from the surrounding area. In addition to being an important part of our season (creating an opportunity for us to play against other area teams), we also expect to use this event as a fundraiser to help defray the costs associated with running the teams, such as uniforms and transportation. We will be charging each team that participates an entry fee of $375. We contacted the property owner, Mick Duda, and he has given his permission to have his property used for this purpose. He referred us to Mark Tanner, who runs the local soccer league that currently uses the fields. They are also interested in making the space available to us for our tournament. Mark referred us to the town of Northampton for permitting, since their permit only allows for soccer events and not other types of events. Hence this permit request. We estimate 25 to 30 teams will likely participate. Each team has from 10-15 players. The tournament would be Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th. It would begin at gam and end at 5pm each day. We would like to use the areas shown on the attached map, marked A and B. We are aware that the local community in the Oxbow area is sensitive to the traffic that events at the Oxbow create. Because of this we will require all participants to carpool to the fields. It is typical with High School sports teams, to travel to games in school buses or vans, so we are confident that we will get compliance with this request, from the teams attending. It is not common for teams to show up at games with large numbers of fans or parents, nonetheless we will instruct all parents and fans to carpool as well. Typically teams come with a coach or two, who travel in the same vehicle as their team. We anticipate several support vehicles being present in addition to the players, for example we will likely have drinking water and port - a -johns dropped off before the event and picked up after the event. If you have any questions about our event that I have failed to address in this description and application please feel free to contact me at 347-831-3800. Thank you for your consideration, Lee Feldscher 10. Do any signs exist on the property?
