Dear Mr. Gardner.
Based on our discussions at the building inspection at 73 Vernon St on 4/6/18, 1 would like to propose the following to address
structural deficiencies in the support beams in the living room.
The sloppily constructed beam (composed of multiple members, none of which extends the full length of the span)near the front
door will be replaced with a single beam supported by a post at either end.
The other beam(which fully extends across the span) is currently supported by nails. This will be rectified by installing proper
support posts in the wall.
The total cost of these measure to improve the structural integrity is estimated to be$1,420,00
Please respond as to whether you feel these remedies are appropriate to the deficiencies noted.
