Dear Mr. Mazeski,
We did install a gas furnace on Friday January 27 for Breeders Choice, Pet shop,
under what seemed to be emergency conditions as there were several thousand dollars
worth of tropical birds in the shop that were at risk in the unheated shop. I personally
stopped at Mr. Hebert`s shop on Conz Street on Friday morning, before leaving for
Holyoke to pick up the gas furnace. I asked him if he would make arrangement for the
gas work on this job and file the necessary permits. It appears now that some
misunderstanding took place with this conversation and the permits were not filed until the
following Wednesday- I received a phone call at my office on Friday afternoon that said
'Paul Hebert called regarding permits for Breeders Choice" and when I was given that
message over the radio I understood it to be that Paul had taken care of the permits. He
apparently had not. I have since been to the job with Mr. Hebert and He finds no
problem with the installation and I believe that all the necessary permits have been
obtained. As my contract with Breeder's Choice indicates every intent was present to file
and comply with all necessary codes and inspections. Certainly there may have been
some communication problems here which I can only apologize for my part and offer my
assurance that in the future greater effort will be made to follow up on such
communications to insure that everyone knows his responsibility.
