DE9i or G IN.PECI IONS RE: New electric service and alarm system for 21-31 Math Street � u 01960 Deas Mn Paulo, I am writing to you at the request of Mr.Mathew Pitoniak to set out our plans for thelnew clectric servie and fire alarm systems for the 'Masonic'building at 21-31 Main Street in Northampton.This building is:. Condnmimusn Association with two owners.Nohomimum Realty Trust with Matt Pito/mak as Trustee owns three first floor units that include the Fiawilly's restaurant acid the recently closed pizza restaurant Chemise Corporation with Doug Kohl as principal owns the balance of the building.. Ova the passed month,I have been working with engineers Iron,Western Mass Electric,our electrician Rich Chenevat and design engineers al General Eleenx to develop a plan to upgrade the electric soviet it this building and to abandon the second electric service that presently supplies the I,aVeracruzana space. the new restaurant space and the main building boiler.We will be running a new underground service frglm the pad mount transformer located behind the Calvin Theatre to the existing switchgear that is in the basement of the Fnzwilly's restaurant.The new underground conductors will be sized to carry 1000 Amy::y 3 phase anent,which is the rated capacity of the main breaker in the existing switchgear. The LBVetacruzana space,the building boiler and a new 200 amp panel for the Hackman restaurant will all b� moved to the existing switch gar. We have placed an order with.General Electric,the makers of the existing building switebgear,for the hardware that is needed to connect the new underground lines to this gear.The GE factory is coshing production of this hardware and I hope to have the gear on site within two weeks.Before the gear arrives} Our electrician will be preparing for the service upgrade by installing underground conduits and new meta sockets inside the switchgear room.Finally,I have scheduled a meeting for next Monday morning with George Fournier,Rich Chenevert,Buster S}nnanski,(Pitranity's electrician)and Peter Normandin from Mass Electric,to review all of the details of the new electric service installation. We ate also making progress on the new building fire alarm system.We have retainedl,Industrial Residential Service to design and install a comprehensive fire alarm system for all of the first floor restaurant spaces and the mixed use/office spaces on the upper Boors.This system win include a new addressable main panel that will be located in the main entrance to 25 Main Street andinew smoke detectors,notification units and power supplies that will be located throughout the building. indusaaal Residential Security has a complete set of plans for the entire building and is currently:preparing permit application documents for this new alarmsystem.
