Louis:
On June 26,2013 I visited the address specified above to observe the progress of construction and
to confirm that the work being performed is consistent with the structural contract documents dated
1/22/13. The existing building at the address specified above is under construction to rehabilitate the
previously unused,dilapidated, type V construction - four unit R-2 use structure into a six unit, R-2
structure.
At the time of my observation,tradesmen form Spartan Concrete Services were working in the
basement of this existing structure and had already installed temporary main floor supports and removed
several of the existing 12"x 12"clay masonry columns. New 3'-0"x 3'-0"x 12"thick pad footings have
been excavated at the existing column locations and(4) #4 bars each way were chaired in the new footing
hole. Steve from Spartan Concrete Services indicated that all the bars would be ties together prior to the
new footings to be poured.
It is my impression that the general intent of the contract documents has been followed during the
installation of the new interior footings located on sheet S3.
