Dear Tony, Attached is my Zoning Permit application and drawings for the build-out of our proposed office at the National Felt Building. I am following Wayne Feiden's suggestion that I submit my special permit application after the first City Council vote on zoning changes and thus get my project on the docket for the Planning Board meeting on May 28th. By submitting my Special Permit Application before the Zoning Permit is denied, I know I have reversed the typical flow of paper, however I could not get a Zoning Application denied until the City Council allows my particular use in this district. After waiting to see how the City Council voted on the zoning changes in the Special Industry district, it appears they will approve the changes on their second vote May 21st. This vote will allow me to proceed with my project with a Special Permit from the Planning Board. I know I can't get a denied Zoning Permit until the final City Council vote, but I am speeding the process along by getting on the Planning Board docket the week after the May 21st Council vote. Hopefully everything will go according to plan and you will be able to deny my Zoning Application for an approved "back office" use in the SI district.
