Here is a photograph of the existing sign cabinet which was previously used for the
Caldor's store. The cabinet is 7'-0"x 22'-0" and the plan is to apportion the cabinet into two
sections of faces. The section which concerns Big Lots is to be 7'-0" x 9'-3" as shown in
the drawing which was submitted with the application. The other portion is to be used by a
future tenant and we understand that they must apply for a separate permit to letter their
portion.
The reason that the entire face is to be covered by plastic at this time is because were it
not,the electrical componants of the sign, including the lamps,would be further damaged
by the elements. Also,when the Big Lots face portion is in,the lighting would not be
shielded were there no face in the other portion.
Please add this to the review of further information for this site.
In terms of the permit application for the side set of letters which was denied due to
exceeding 25 square feet, at this time, I will withdraw that application.
