Dragon Chairman, Board of Appeals Northampton, MA 01060 OPINION OF THE PLANNING BOARD IN THE MATTER OF Request of Lee Christenson for a variance to erect a building for retail use - The Planning Board, at its meeting of March 1, voted unani- mously to express to the Board of Appeals its opinion that the subject application should be approved. The Board noted, % however, that there is a question regarding the status of Depot Street, which question should probably be investigated prior to taking final action on this matter. The principal physical con- cernsof the Planning Board are: (1) Public use of Depot Street is essential as a part of the traffic circulation in downtown Florence, particu- larly in light of the fact that several properties utilize the street for access.
