Dear Mr. Sienkiewicz:
I am writing to request a permanent occupancy permit for the Individuals'
Shelter at 91 Grove Street. My understanding from Bob Reckman, contractor for
the renovations, is that the unfinished items at the time of temporary
occupancy issuance have now been completed.
Please be advised that as a non-profit organization, our intended use of the
building is for an educational purpose. In addition to food and shelter,
guests have access to an educational program designed to help them gain skills
necessary to become independent and stable. During their stay at the shelter,
guests address issues that have prohibited them from maintaining permanent
housing and are referred to area literacy, employment and training, mental
health, and substance abuse programs.
