DECISION OF 019036
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
At a meeting held on July 23, 1986, the Zoning Board of Appeals of
the City of Northampton voted unanimously to grant the Special Permit
request of Norman and Jacklyn Coe, 274 Middle Street, Amherst, MA, for
the purpose of converting a single-family dwelling into a two-family
I' dwelling at property located at 104 North Main Street (Florence), Northampton,
MA (URB Zone) . Present and voting were: Chairman Robert C. Buscher,
Kathleen M. Sheehan and Sanford Weil, Jr.

The findings were as follows:
K. Sheehan found that the use is listed in the Table of Use Regulations
as a Special Permit; that the requested use bears a positive relation-
ship to the public convenience, as the house has been in disrepair for
a number of years and the safety of the neighborhood will benefit from
the renovation of this structure; that the requested use will not create
undue traffic congestion nor impair pedestrian safety; that the requested
use will not overburden municipal systems; that Article XI does not
apply; that the requested use will not unduly impair the integrity or
character of the district and is in harmony with the intent of the
Ordinance, as there are a number of two-family dwellings and a four-
! family dwelling in the area.
S. Weil concurred with Ms. Sheehan's findings.
