The Northampton Department of P°\iblic Works (DPW) is in receipt of the application for a
Stonnwater Management Permit for the above referenced project. The application has been
found to be incomplete. The timeline for application review and final action by the
Northampton DPW will begin once a complete application has been submitted. The
application is incomplete for the following reason(s):
__ The Stonnwater Management Permit Application is not complete and/ or signed:
__ The Permit Review and Inspection Fee is not paid.
__ The Operation, Maintenance, and Inspection Agreement was not submitted
and/ or is not complete.
___x_ The Stonnwater Management Plan and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan are
not complete. The following information has not been submitted and/ or is not
complete:
• The HydroCAD drainage calculations for Existing Conditions submitted as part of the
Stormwater Management Report and Permit Application Package, prepared for Atwood
Partners LLC, September 2013, by Tighe & Bond do not adequately represent the
existing drainage patterns and the existing drainage calculations do not include the same
level of detail as the proposed conditions drainage calculations. The existing conditions
drainage calculations must be revised to include the same level of detail as the proposed
drainage calculations and include existing drainage patterns such as flow through the
existing piped drainage system and flow through six paved waterways to a swale or
wetland area north of the site.
• The Site Plans for Hospitality North, Atwood Drive, dated 9/23/2013, stamped by
Francis J. Hoey, P.E. and Brian S. Huntley, P.E., Tighe and Bond, show a proposed 24
inch and a proposed 18 inch drainage pipe &om the site connecting to the existing 18
inch municipal drain line in Atwood Drive. The capacity and impact to the function of
the existing piped municipal drainage system in Atwood Drive has not been analyzed in
the drainage calculations. Additional analysis and information must be submitted
detailing the capacity of the existing drainage system and demonstration of the proper
function of the existing municipal system to convey flows from the proposed drainage
system for all design storms.
Please submit the necessary items to the Northampton Department of Public Works as soon as
