8. My proposal to have a home occupation in my opinion meets the
criteria required. Regarding the criteria: 1 . the request for a
home occupation does require a special permit under zoning ordinance
section 11 . 11 , page 11-29. 2. As with most small business, mine will
help generate income for others in the purchases we make. These allow
Dur state and local economy to have a base from which to support its
government and general population . 3. My requested use in no way
will cause traffic congestion or impair pedestrian safety. Most of
our pick ups and deliveries are done through the use of UPS or similar
operations. 4. My operation is quiet , clean and safe. It in no way
is a liability to the municipal system or the general population . 5.
7he regulations of Article 11 of the Zoning Ordinance will be
fulfilled . E. As previously stated, it is my intention to maintain a
low profile. My aim is to blend with the neighborhood and to continue
to respect both my property and that of my neighbor ' s.
Relative to the special regulations of section 11 . 11 the following can
be said . l . The use of my home for business purpose is secondary to
the primary use as my personal dwelling. 2. I am the sole employee
of my company. 3. As stated in my report to the building inspector ,
the percent of floor space for business use is 1 , 200 sq. ft . or 30%.
4. I intend to display 1 sign as permitted by the rules for such
displays. 5. I sell to others steel rule cutting dies and specialty
printing . I request the permission of the ZBA to do so. G. The goods
I sell are manufacture by me at my place of business. 7. My hours of
operation are those that are observed by other companies. We will
observe the City of Northampton bylaws regarding hours of operation.
S. Deliveries and pick ups of goods are done during normal operating
hours. 9. My garage is the accessory building in my application. It
was constructed prior to the date of this ordinance and does meet the
required setback requirements for an accessory structure. 10. As
stated we are a quiet , clean, low profile operation . We will blend in
and cause no detectable interference of any nature. 11 . Once given
the ZBA approval , I will work with the building department to insure
we are up to code. 12. We will request a Certificate of Occupancy
prior to commencement of the home occupation . 13. I will request
renewal of my special permit following the first year of operation.
14. I understand that all special permits for home occupations are
non-transferable and are issued to a specific applicant .
I hope that the above statements indicate my understanding and
willingness to work within the framework of the system established by
the ZBA and the City of Northampton.

Response for questions seven and eight .
I am requesting the proper city permit that will enable me to
operate my small business out of my home. I have read the zoning
laws pertaining to home occupations and have spoken with the city
officers in charge of such determinations and feel that my use is
within all the pertinent guidelines defined within the ordinances
of the City of Northampton.
The business I intend to operate at my residence is a diemaking
and specialty printing operation. In both instances, I service
other companies. Both these operations are quiet and clean. They
will not noticeably increase or cause any traffic congestion. I
am presently the sole employee of the company.
I intend to install my business in the existing garage and a
portion of the residence' s basement . These areas will be upgraded
to include heat and electricity. Otherwise, the outward appearance
of the premises will remain as it presently is.
I will maintain my home with the same respect for my property and
that of my neighbors that is currently displayed. It is my intent
to blend with the neighborhood and to tiontinue to be a responsible
resident of Northampton.

this permit request . Your issuance of my application is
