Sin erely, Matt and Lisa Lampi si s Matt and Lisa Lampiasi 86 Florence Road Florence MA 01062 July 7, 2008 Dear Neighbor: We're writing you in regard to a building permit application we recently filed with the city. We're hoping to build a 3 port car port in our driveway. It turns out that our lot was drawn up very much before current zoning laws went into effect, and to get permission to build, we need the approving signatures of people living within 300' of our property. One part of our house is only one foot from our neighbor's property line already, and one abutting neighbor's lot is also so narrow that we allow them a few feet of our property to use for their driveway. There weren't cars when these houses were built! Snow removal is extremely difficult in these narrow lots and the car port will alleviate some of the struggle. I'm hoping you will find no reason to object this small project, and can sign your approval below, and mail back to me (I've included postage and a return envelope). If you object to the project or wish to ask any questions please call us at 413- 303-0377. 1 will be glad to meet with you at your residence or ours, at your convenience, if anything isn't clear. Our proposed car port will handle 3 cars, be 8' high, 17' wide and 37' long (the 8'hx17w' side will be parallel to Florence Road, pictured below). The front part of the carport closest to the street will be 20' back from the street, the exact same distance that our front porch already is from the street. I encourage you to use that as a reference if you happen to drive by and want to see what kind of impact it may have on the view or visibility. I anticipate that it will be NO impact to traffic visibility as our porch is already out that far. The planned roof will be almost flat and the structure will have 8 6"x6" posts supporting it. This is the street side view: i Subject_Parcel_ID Abutter_Parcel_ID Location Owner Address City State Zip_Code ok'd 22D-070-001 22D-OSO-001 44 RYAN RD KOZASH JOSEPH R&MARY L 44 RYAN RD FLORENCE MA 1062 y 22D-070-001 22D-051-001 34 RYAN RD PASSA EDWARD W&JUDITH A 34 RYAN RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-063-001 63 FLORENCE RD MANDEVILLE BERNARD 1&CELESTE 63 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-064-001 71 FLORENCE RD TURNER ELIZABETH M 71 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-065-001 77 FLORENCE RD DIEMAND PETER J&COLEEN K 77 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-066-001 89 FLORENCE RD ONDRAS JOHN&ANN P& 89 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-067-001 121 FLORENCE RD MORIN MARLENE A 121 FLORENCE RD NORTHAMPTON MA 1060 Y 22D-070-001 22D-068-001 96 FLORENCE RD FOGG-WILLITS LINDSAY& 96 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-069-001 90 FLORENCE RD O'SHEA TERESA 1 90 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-071-001 80 FLORENCE RD TOOHEY MARY C&ALICE J TOOHEY 80 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-072-001 76 FLORENCE RD SCHENCK JUDITH G&ALICE SAVOY 76 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-073-001 68 FLORENCE RD KARPARIS ROSEMARIE 68 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-074-001 60 FLORENCE RD KOUNIOTIS JOHN A&ANITA C 60 FLORENCE RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-081-001 RENKOWIC JOSEPH G 24 CROSS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-082-001 14 CROSS ST SCAGEL PAUL R 14 CROSS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-083-001 35 BLISS ST GIROUX MARY E&RAYMOND E 35 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-084-001 55 BLISS ST BAUMER DONALD C&POLLY S 55 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-085-001 KENNY CARA E 67 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-086-001 67 BLISS ST KENNY CARA E 67 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-087-001 30 SCANLON AVE BRISTOL RAND W&SUSAN M 30 SCANLON AVE FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-088-001 73 BLISS ST BRILL JONATHAN H&LYNNE S 73 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 22D-093-001 40 RYAN RD DIEMAND THOMAS E&KATHLEEN M 40 RYAN RD FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 23C-082-001 54 BLISS ST SCHEEL GEORGE W&GERALDINE M 54 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 23C-083-001 62 BLISS ST BERTRAND DONALD G&JOYCE C 62 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 23C-084-001 68 BLISS ST FULFORD J SCOTT& 68 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y 22D-070-001 23C-085-001 72 BLISS ST HEWAT JEREMY&DEBRA WOLOHAN 72 BLISS ST FLORENCE MA 1062 Y w 82.51 22D-071 3 264 57.75 22D-070 57.75 264 ,5 45 22 D 45 -06 9 262.88 Northampton, MA Property Detail Page 2 of 2 Brick Trim: 0 X 68 jone Story Frame Stone Trim: 0 X 0 jEnclosed Masonary Porch Remodeling Data: Frame Overha Year Remodeled: 2002 Frame Overha Kitchen Remodeled (Y/N): lWood Deck Bath Remodeled (Y/N): Land Data Outbuilding Info Square Foot Type Utilities Type Feet Value no Prime information Site 15,246 111,290 Type I Qty Year Size 1 Size2 no information Acreage Type Street/Road Type Acres Value no L no information formation Sales Info Permit Info Date Permit # Price Purp 03/30/2007 986 4,000 NEW STA] Date Type Price Validity ADD ROC 10/31/2001 Land+ Bldg 170,000[::E:j 10/29/2001 464 2,000 NEW WIND PORCH INS 04/25/2002 916 1,000 ENCLOSE http://www.northamptonassessor.us/noho/propertydetail.php?map_no=22D-070-001&page... 6/19/2008 Northampton, MA Property Detail Page 1 of 2 F- City of Northampton, MA: Residential Property Record C New Search Property Type Classification Code Reference Card 1 of 1 Parcel - Location - Zoning - Assessment 1 Map-Block-Lot: 2213-070-001 Zoning: I Assessr Location: 86 FLORENCE RD Neigborhood: 6 Land: #Living Units: 2 Deed Book: 6411 Buildi Class: R-104 Deed Page: 238 Total: Dwelling Information-77711 Building Sketch Style: Conventional Year Built: 1887 Story Height: 1.5 Attic: None 2 14 2 Basement: Full 4 Total Rooms: 8 1t1H .17 Bedrooms: 3 34 34 2Fr Full Baths: 2 5ss s Half Baths: 0 10 s Exterior Walls: Frame C 0 Unfinished Area: 0 2 5 14 1 Ff Ground Floor Area: 294 54 Total Living Area: 1912 211.5Fr16 294 Finished Basement Living 0 X 0 1 Fr Area: 120 Basement Recreation Area: 0 X 0 $ EMP 10 14 Woodburning Fireplace $ 1as Stacks/Openings: Metal Fireplace 0/0 Stacks/Openings: Heat/Central A/C: Basic Heating System: Warm Air Addition Information: F Gas Quality Grade: C Physical Condition: Average Lower 1 st Story 2nd Story Interior/Exterior: Same Basement One Story Frame Half Story Fra Condition/Desirability/Utility: GD lone Story Frame One Story Fray Vacant/Dwell/Oby Status: Dwelling One Story Frame Additional Features: 10ne Story Frame http://www.northamptonassessor.us/noho/propertydetail.php?map_n0=22D-070-001&page... 6/19/2008 HOME OWNER EXEMPTION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT The State of Massachusetts allows the homeowner the right under 780CMR 108.3.4 to act as his/her construction supervisor.
