The roof peak of the addition may not be higher than the roof peak of the section of the existing FINDINGS: structure adjoining this addition. 2. All second story windows along the northwest side of the addition(the wall that abuts the non- conforming side property boundary) shall be "awning type"and the window sills shall be at least 5.5 feet above the floor level of the second floor. The designated Zoning Administrator granted the Finding based on the materials and graphics submitted with the application. The Findings of the Board Administrator under Section 9.3 for an expansion of a pre-existing non-conforming side yard setback were as follows: 1. The Administrator found that the expansion would not be substantially more detrimental to the neighborhood than the existing nonconforming structure because the roof of the addition would be the same height as the existing portion of the structure to which the addition will be attached and that the proposed second story windows,as offered by the applicant and conditioned herein, would be located higher along the wall to restrict views onto the abutting property. 2. The Administator found that the addition would not extend any closer to any front,side,or rear property boundary than the current zoning allows and that the existing structure already extends. The current non-conforming structure sits approximately 1'from the side property boundary and the addition will be located approximately 1'from the property boundary. 3. The Administrator also determined that this extension would not create any new violation of other zoning provisions;and does not involve a sign.
