Dear Tony:
I enclose a Zoning Permit Application with attached plan, deed and check for $10.00. Tim
Parsons is buying the 1.434 acre lot from his mother and proposes to build a single family house (he is
having the lot perked, it is serviced by city water).
The issue is whether it is a building lot under the current zoning ordinance or whether it is
"grandfathered" as a legal building lot from the time it was created, July 11, 1979. The lot is in the RR
zoning district and the WSP overlay district. The proposed house would comply with the requirements of
§16.9 in all regards except §16.9.1 "the minimum lot size for any use in the Water Supply Protection
District shall be 80,000 square feet." The lot is 62,460 square feet. Table 6.2 appears to permit single
family homes on a 40,000 square foot lot.
